A trip down memory lane...

Yesterday was the first anniversary of the day we said, "I Do"
What an adventure this past year has been. We've learned to rely on each other, moving across the country from everyone we know.  It has been great for our marriage, building our bond stronger and stronger as we explore this new life on our own.  I couldn't ask for a better, more loving, caring, thoughtful husband.

Here are a few of my favorites from that blessed day last year...

We had a wonderful celebratory weekend in Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park, and Jackson Hole.  I can't wait to share our fun memories, but for now just reminiscing...

Mountains

We've spent a lot of the weekends this summer in the mountains. With some only a short 10 minute drive away and many less than an hour, it is hard to not flock to them.
One of our favorites has been mountain biking at the ski resorts.  They have a great set up - you ride up the lift with your bike hooked on the back and then bike down hill.
Here are a few pics from one of our adventures when I took the camera along.

Graduation Weekend

Sadly, in June we had to say goodbye to all of the chiefs as they finished their residency.  We had a weekend full of parties with good food, great company, and hilarious entertainment.

Nice face David.

After a scrumptious meal of steak and lobster...

The next night they had a big cookout with games and food.  The guys created a video roast to wish all of the chiefs well and to mock their memories here in Utah.  It was absolutely hilarious and very well done.  I'm super impressed with these residents' wide variety of talents. We had a great time hanging out with everyone.

Sailing

Another great Salty Lake adventure...

Some friends of ours have a sail boat and they were so sweet to invite us to go sailing with them.  We had a beautiful, blue sky day and had quite the adventure.

The winds were good to us, until we attempted to head back in to the marina.  Out of nowhere, we were attacked by a "Tooele Twister." Winds started blowing from all directions and the boat was tossed all over the lake.  Chaos struck us all as the boys tried to lower the sails.  The girls were hanging on for dear life.
Fortunately, after a few minutes the sails were lowered and the winds calmed down. Thus began the long trip back to the marina with the wind blowing directly against us. Poor Ashley ended up missing a flight.
